BonAnno
2018 Cabernet Sauvignon
Napa Valley Magnum
Winemaker Notes
A deep ruby red, this wine shows classic Napa Cabernet Sauvignon aromas of cedar, tobacco, and cocoa followed by a mix of currant, vanilla and fresh blackberry notes. The texture is smooth, supple and sleek in the mouth with firm tannins and fresh acidity. The palate is loaded with fresh dark fruits, plum, currants and hints of cinnamon and vanilla.
Crafted to be enjoyed upon release, this wine will also stand the test of time for those who can wait!
Vintage
California’s 2018 was nearly picture-perfect growing season which began in late February. Spring was mild, with extended flowering yielding uniform grape clusters. Temperatures remained steady and warm throughout the growing season, without any significant heat spikes, making for a cool, unhurried harvest. Yields are being reported above average. There is a lot of optimism for quality in the 2018 vintage.
Vineyard
The 2018 BonAnno Cabernet Sauvignon fruit was sourced 100% from Napa Valley including some prime vineyards in Yountville, Calistoga and Oak Knoll district.
