BonAnno
2022 Cabernet Sauvignon
Alexander Valley
Winemaker Notes
Deep ruby color, fresh with layered dark fruits, blackberry, black raspberry, cedar, allspice, cinnamon and hints of vanilla. The palate is elegant with many layers that lead to a long finish with fresh fruit and lively acidity.
Crafted to be enjoyed upon release, this wine will also stand the test of time for those who can wait!
Vintage
The 2022 harvest was very high quality across all of California. Due to the ongoing drought conditions, yields were again slightly lower. The year was not without challenges, but the vintage produced memorable white wines of great concentration and complexity.
Vineyards
Crafted from high-quality vineyard plots in what is know as the “tenderloin” in Alexander Valley. The tenderloin is regarded one of the best places to grow Cabernet Sauvignon Sonoma county. Our wine is carefully aged to enhance its unique characteristics and bring out its complex notes of dark fruit, vanilla, and oak.
Winemaker
Matt Bonanno works with renowned winemaker Jim Milone to source and craft the BonAnno and Matthew Fritz wines. Jim grew up in the vineyards of his grandfather’s winery in Mendocino County and currently lives in Northern Sonoma. His excellent relationships with wineries and growers throughout the Northern California are invaluable to our vineyard sourcing.
