About Matthew Fritz
Founded by winemaker and entrepreneur Matthew BonAnno, Matthew Fritz wines are companion wines to his Napa Valley flagship Cabernet Sauvignon BonAnno. Matthew Fritz was founded on a few simple principles: Seek out and source fruit from top North Coast vineyards, let the fruit stand on its own through a pure, clean winemaking process, and ultimately, ensure every bottle is a true representation of both the variety and appellation.

Vintage
The 2025 harvest in Northern California is considered a classic, cooler-than-average vintage. The extended growing season produced elegant, well structured wines with vibrant acidity, moderate alcohol, and concentrates flavor expression. The result is a fresh, balanced Sauvignon Blanc with clarity and lift.

Vineyard
Sourced from organic vineyards in the southeast corner of Clear Lake in Lake County. The lake’s moderating influence, combined with volcanic clay loam soils, creates ideal conditions for Sauvignon Blanc — preserving acidity and enhancing aromatic intensity. Crafted in Healdsburg, Sonoma County using a pure, clean winemaking approach that allows the fruit and site to express themselves naturally.

Winemaker
Renowned winemaker Jim Milone crafts, blends, and bottles Matthew Fritz in Healdsburg, Sonoma County. Jim grew up in the vineyards of his grandfather’s winery in Mendocino County and currently lives in Northern Sonoma. His excellent relationships with wineries and growers throughout the North Coast of California are invaluable to our vineyard sourcing.

Winemaker Notes
Bright and aromatic with crisp acidity and flavors of citrus, melon, pineapple, and green herbs. Mineral notes add tension and structure on the palate, leading to a lingering finish of white peach and tangerine. A fresh, vibrant alternative to New Zealand Sauvignon Blanc.
